Rural Tourism - North East Region
This region encompasses the provinces of Misiones, Corrientes, Entre Ríos, Formosa and Chaco, and its scenery is a combination of wildlife and copious rivers. Misiones boasts one of the wonders of the world: the Iguazú Falls. The scenery of the vast marshes in Corrientes and the undulating hills of Entre Ríos contrast with the reddish soil in Misiones. Most of the cultural manifestations in this area have to do with water and a vegetal and aquatic environment. Tourists are amazed by the colors of the jungle and the riverside woods, the greenish plains and meadows and the reddish soils, the wide variety of birds and the enchanting movements of the flowing waters in every river and brook, the quietness and tranquility of the marshes and pools and the vertigo of the rapids and falls. This area is also dotted with small establishment with plots of land in the area of marshes and lagoons, which have a casco of great historic value. Tourists are offered a wide range of activities to enjoy its natural attractions, among which we can mention sporting and recreational activities: hiking, fishing, hunting, canoeing, tours in four-wheel-drive vehicles, ecotourism (photographic safaris, flora and fauna watching), and participation in traditional cultural and rural duties.
