Bariloche

Bariloche or correctly San Carlos de Bariloche is arguably the most famous ski resort area in the Southern Hemisphere. It's located on the eastern slopes of the Andes Mountains about 1,000 miles southwest of Buenos Aires at 2,500 feet above sea level. Surrounding mountains reach 8,000 feet.

Nahuel Huapi National Park

As the nub of Argentina´s beatiful Lake District amid beatiful landscapes of lakes, forests and snow - capped mountains, the city of Bariloche stands out for its solid architecture of log and stone buildings and excellent tourist services. The Centro Civiso is a cluster of European-style administrative buildings that include the City Hall and the Museum of Patagonia.

Motor boats take visitors to Puerto Blest and Isla Victoria, and island on Lake Nahuel Huapi, where pure stands of arrayanes (a variety myrtle) are preserved.
