Province Santa Fe
Ver página em Português | Ver página en Español
Santa Fe - its capital city - was originally founded near Cayastá by Juan de Garay in 1573. The floods and the Indians' permanent harassment and raids made it necessary to move the city to its present location in 1660.
The Túnel Subfluvial (subfluvial tunnel) which links up Santa Fe and Paraná has contributed to an increase in the commercial and tourist traffic not only with other provinces but also with Uruguay and Brazil.
Rosario city is known for its National Flag Memorial located on the shore of the Paraná river, where General Manuel Belgrano hoisted the national flag and swore the pledge of allegiance for the first time.
San Lorenzo city bore witness to a historic event of utmost importance during the struggle for Independence and has now become a kind of shrine of one of our most relevant heroes, Sergeant Cabral.
