Province Río Negro
Ver página em Português | Ver página en Español
Rio Negro, which has the most varied topography, extends from the Atlantic Ocean to the Argentinean-Chilean border on the Andes.
The province's main tourist attraction is the lake district at the heart of which we find San Carlos de Bariloche, the Nahuel Huapi lake and the mountain peaks Cerro Catedral and Cerro Tronador.
Bariloche offers great facilities to an ever increasing number of visitors; and complementary activities, such as navigation, fishing, big game hunting and golf, draw specialized tourists eager to satisfy their expectations and wishes.
Cerro Tronador's ventisqueros (ice-covered slopes), Los Alerces waterfall, the Manso river, the Mascardi lake and the town of El Bolsón are permanent magnets for travelers.

Llao Llao Hotel & Resort
It is located well within reach of Bariloche and sits on the shores of Nahuel Huapi lake. This area boasts stunning scenery, surrounded by mountains, lakes and centennial woods. The golf facilities have been designed to meet the present demands of the game and pose a challenge to experienced golfers, though they are also accessible to players with different handicaps. The course is characterized by undulating fairways with smooth lawns, amazing greens and perfectly integrated bunkers.
La Lobería - Sea Lion Colony
There are many activities for tourists and vacationers, such as: watching and photographing birds and sea lions, taking walks along the shoal at low tide, and watching the flora and fauna typical of the coast. Searching for sea shells ís another entertaining amusement.
Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi
The generous donation of land made by Perito Francisco Pascasio Moreno (Argentine naturalist and surveyor who specialized ín border disputes) on November 6th, 1903 constituted the basis for the national park created ín 1934 under the name of Nahuel Huapi National Park. The gorgeous sceneries and the amazing ecologic value of this area, which extends over the Andean region to the north of the Patagonia, make of this extensive park something truly special. Straddling over the southwest of the province of Neuquén and the northwest of Rio Negro, ít covers an area of 705,000 hectares.
This National Park illustrates three natural ecosystems: altoandino (high Andes), bosque andino patagonico (Patagonian wood including sectors of the Valdiviana jungle), and estepa patagônica (Patagonian steppe).
Scattered throughout the woods, there are numerous lakes and rivers whose shores are home to different vegetal species typical of wet areas, such as arrayanes and pataguas (white lily trees).
Blue-eyed cormorants (Phalacrocorax atriceps) live ín the cliffs of some of the islands on the Nahuel Huapi lake, which ís rather curious since this ís a sea species. Here visitors can also often see kelp gulls chasing ships.
