Province Corrientes
Ver página em Português | Ver página en Español
Located on the Paraná river, the capital city bears the same name as the province and is linked to Resistencia, Chaco's capital, by means of a bridge called Puente Interprovincial General Manuel Belgrano. The road stretching alongside the above mentioned river is the city's main tourist walk. There are other complementary activities that draw numerous tourists, such as dorado, surubi (sorubim) and pacú fishing, the casino and the Carnival festivities, famous all around the country.
On the Paraná river near Misiones lie the Saltos de Apipé (Apipé Falls), a group of islands that restrain navigation. On one of these islands stands the Complejo Hidroeléctrico Yaciretá Apipé (Hydroelectric complex), which generates energy for both our country and Paraguay.
