Province of Buenos Aires Hotels in Buenos Aires | Capital Federal Buenos Aires | Ver página em Português | Ver página en Español
This province offers different tourist alternatives to people who live in Greater Buenos Aires and to those who reside elsewhere in Argentina.
The first one consists in a series of beaches stretching from Bahia de Samborombón (Samborombón Bay) to Monte Hermoso, near Bahia Blanca. The most popular seaside towns are San Clemente del Tuyú, Mar de Ajo, Pinamar, Villa Gesell, Mar del Plata and Necochea, which offer a large variety of spectacular beaches.
Buenos Aires' mountainous ranges are represented by both Sierra de Tandil and Sierra de la Ventana.
In the center and west of the province and in the Salado river basin, there are many wonderful lakes ideal for fishing and practicing water sports.

Cariló Golf Club
The village of Cariló is located on the Atlantic Ocean, 407 km (254 miles) south of Buenos Aires city and 120 km (75 miles) south of Mar del Plata. Its 80-plus-year-old forests and wide beaches have turned Cariló into one of the most prestigious seaside resorts in Argentina.
The golf course is surrounded by a magnificent forest, mostly of pines. Mainly characterized by its outstanding greens and surrounding woods, this course defies any player's talent.
Monte Calvario
This hill, resembling the Golgotha, is a center for Easter celebrations. The representation of Christ's Passion started back in 1048. The Via Crucis or Way of the Cross is ornamented with statues sculpted in indigenous stones by renowned Argentinean artists. On reaching the hilltop, you come face to face with a gigantic 22 meter-high cross. Originally it had been made of alerce (Patagonian cypress) especially brought from Bariloche, but it was eventually replaced by a cement cross. Here you will be amazed at the beautiful panoramic view of the hills, particularly at sunset.
Beaches
San Clemente del Tuyú, sitting where the River Plate joins the sea, is one of the best attractions: beaches with sand dunes, forests, indigenous fauna, migrant birds, and corvina negra (blackdrum) fishing.
It truly is a city aimed at relaxation, sports and recreation.
Sierra de la Ventana Golf Club
Situated 600 km (375 miles) south of Buenos Aires city, near Bahia Blanca, this course is characterized by its topography: both gentle and steep slopes, brooks and exuberant trees that make any game of golf much more pleasant. Despite this, it is a wide open 62 hectare course that allows players to enjoy its 18 holes, completely different in their layout and internal and external landscape. This course has hosted national tournaments organized by the Asociación Argentina de Golf (Argentinean Golf Association).
La Plata
This city's main activity focuses on public administration matters. Capital city of Buenos Aires province, La Plata has a renowned university which draws a huge number of students from the whole country, as well as a magnificent urban layout, parks and museums that make this city a top-notch cultural and tourist attraction.
Casino de Monte Hermoso
Opened in November 1989, this is one of the most important casinos in the province because of the volume of gaming conducted. It has ten roulette and four baccarat-like punto y banca tables, besides its own parking lot. Its beautiful architectonic design includes Fuegian lenga - a Patagonian tree-covered beams and columns.
Around Necochea
Thanks to the extension and variety of this town and its outskirts, tourists have the choice of three tours: Walking around the city; strolling about the beaches and visiting the caves; and driving around the port and nearby beaches.
San Nicolás
The town of San Nicolás de los Arroyos is situated on the northern border of Buenos Aires province.
Since its foundation, it acquired great significance due to its strategic location as an obligatory stop on the way to the north and the Mesopotamia. The town offers visitors a wide array of attractions, both to those wishing to delve into our traditions and history, and to those needing to display their devotion to Virgen Maria del Rosario de San Nicolás.
